Scandinavian Children’s Books by Sonia Chivavar

I create Scandinavian children’s books filled with imagination, heart, and a touch of magic. Inspired by Nordic nature, storytelling and the enchanting atmosphere of Scandinavian forests, my stories explore friendship, kindness, courage and the small moments that help children understand themselves and the world around them.

I write for young readers who enjoy magical adventures, memorable characters and stories that leave them with something meaningful to think about.

Friendship, kindness, courage, fear, trust and emotional growth are woven naturally into the stories. Rather than simply teaching a lesson, I want each adventure to give children something to feel, imagine and talk about — while still being, above all, a story they can enjoy.

For me, creating books is another form of art. Words, characters, illustrations and atmosphere come together to build a world beyond the canvas — one that children can return to, explore and make part of their own imagination.
